Is this the best hotel room in the world?

I was treated to a peek at the Royal Suite in the Four Seasons in Florence a couple of weeks ago. The room is amazing and comes with a just-as-amazing price tag of 15,000 euros a night.

If you do have that kind of spare cash, it's well worth it. You'll get your own private Florence palazzo complete with original frescoes on the ceiling, ceramic tiled flooring by Ignazio Chiaiese and the biggest bathtub I've ever seen.

After I'd seen the Royal Suite, the Uffizi was a bit of let down, frankly.

florence2.jpgThe hotel itself is well deserving of its place on the Conde Nast Traveller hot list. Everywhere you look there's stunning artwork and beautiful antique pieces. It's all blended perfectly with the latest technology - from Bose speakers to Bang and Olufsen televisions. Surrounded by acres of land, I felt I was in a countryside retreat despite the Duomo being a ten minute walk away.

Wow!
Good description. No offence, but would it be fair to say those pictures don't do it justice ?

Interesting, I wonder what the statistics are on your first point there...
